TMZ Sports reported that the younger Arenas is truly following in his father’s footsteps as he has signed an endorsement deal with Adidas. The elder Arenas, who played in the NBA from 2001 to 2012 for the Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic, and Memphis Grizzlies had his own lucrative deal with Adidas.

If you remember, the elder Arenas had not only a signature shoe, but an expansive endorsement deal with the sportswear retailer as well.

The McDonald’s All-American is looking announced in January that he was committing to spend his college years as a Trojan at the University of Southern California.

“For me, (USC) felt like the best fit,” Arenas said during an interview on his father’s No Chill with Gilbert Arenas podcast.

The Chatswroth High School senior continued, “For everybody that supported me on this journey, just helped me see my path. Then going on campus and seeing how USC was, like, it made me special. I talked to the coach, and seeing what I could possibly be, it was amazing for me. I think I could really go and play for USC.”

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, the younger Arenas is a 5-star prospect and the No. 7 overall player and No. 1 shooting guard in the 2025 recruiting class. Arenas is also heading to USC with other 4-star prospects that include Jerry Easter and Elsie Harrington.

247Sports Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein wrote, when Arenas first announced his decision, that USC and Eric Musselman will be getting a big-time offensive talent in Arenas.

“Arenas is a versatile scoring threat. He doesn’t always separate with his first move, but he’s elite with his secondary moves and has a wide variety of counters in his bag. He also shoots an easy ball from long range with soft, natural touch, despite dipping his left shoulder and twisting into his release,” Finkelstein commented in his scouting report.

“Defensively, his size, length, hands and court coverage are all assets, but his lateral quickness and ability to pressure the ball have fluctuated over the years as his body has evolved. The bottom line is that Arenas is a glaring talent in the midst of a late growth spurt and has significant long-term potential.”

We cannot wait to see what amazing things are ahead for this talented young man in the future. Although there is no word on the monetary value for Arenas’ new deal with Adidas, we have a feeling that it will unquestionably be a true reflection of his worth!
