THE GAME GETS SUPPORT FROM HIS DAUGHTER AS HE IS HONORED IN HIS HOMETOWN

The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, just got his flowers from his hometown, and it was a moment to remember.

On Saturday, February 22, 2025, Compton honored him for his contributions to both hip-hop and the community during a Black History Month event at the Dollarhide Center. And to make it even more special, his daughter, Cali Dream Taylor, was right there to support him.

Sharing his gratitude on Instagram, the rapper made it clear that this wasn’t just about him—it was about the people who helped him along the way, including his four children.

“Honored to accept this award from the @comptoncityhall & @sharifemma on behalf of myself, my mother, my children & my team of super hero’s who put things into motion @sharisrhodes & @travforthestars.”

He also took a moment to appreciate the city that raised him, calling it a blessing to be able to come back and give back.

“Being able to come back to the city that raised me, use my platform & help in any form is truly a blessing. Thank you, not only to the city of Compton… but to the people of the city of Compton,” he wrote in a now-deleted post.

More Than Just a Rapper

Say what you want about The Game, but one thing you can’t deny is that he puts on for Compton. Over the years, he’s been involved in all kinds of community work—giving out school supplies, helping struggling families, and even stepping up when wildfires hit LA. One person online summed it up perfectly:

“They call him corny, but he was out there, helping them firefighters.”

Despite all the ups and downs in his career, The Game has never forgotten where he came from. And moments like this prove that Compton hasn’t forgotten him either.
