PIXAR’S FIRST-EVER TV SERIES, ‘WIN OR LOSE’ IS A HIT WITH KIDS AND PARENTS ALIKE

Known for hit movies such as the Inside Out franchise, Turning Red, Soul, Luca, etc. etc., Pixar has become a dominate force in the world of animation, creating projects that resonate for viewers no matter the age. Well, the studio giant has done it again with their first-ever TV series, Win or Lose. This new series is a hit with both kids and parents alike.

So just is all of the hype about? Well, according to Parents.com expert, Lauren Brown West-Rosenthal, the series, “… teaches an important life lesson—the exact one I want to reinforce to my daughter: You never truly know what it’s like to walk in someone else’s shoes.”

She continues in her review of the series for the outlet stating that, “The show poignantly reminds us there are always two sides to every story, especially in parent-child relationships.”

Just what can viewers expect when they tune-in to this new Pixar hit? According to West-Rosenthal, check out a synopsis below.

Win or Lose follows eight interconnected characters as they prepare for their softball championship game. Each 20-minute episode reveals a different character’s perspective (both adults and kids) on the same day, showcasing their funny, emotional, relatable, and vastly different experiences. This drives home the idea that we don’t know what others are going through—including parents, their kids, and of course classmates.

“Overall, Win or Lose makes me feel seen as a parent. It’s given me the opportunity to have important conversations with my daughter and teach her valuable lessons,” West-Rosenthal wrote.

West-Rosenthal comes to the realization that this show is definitely a win-win for everyone after discussing various aspects of the shows content with her daughter. “As a parent, there’s nothing more gratifying than realizing your child is maturing and developing the ability to put themselves in other people’s shoes. That makes this show a win for me!”

The series, which debuted on February 19 with its first two episodes, per Screenrant, currently has an impressive 89% on Rotten Tomatoes. Pixar will release a total of eight-episodes for the series on Wednesdays through March 12. Win or Lose is currently streaming on Disney+.
