KHLOE KARDASHIAN ADMITS HER KIDS MAY FACE TRAUMA DESPITE THEIR ‘PERFECT LIVES’

During the Jan. 22 episode of her podcast Khloé in Wonder Land, Khloé Kardashian, 40, shared her thoughts on motherhood and childhood trauma.

The Good American co-founder explained that while her kids, True, 6, and Tatum, 2, have wonderful lives, she acknowledged that her children might still face challenges or trauma to work through as they grow older.

“We all have trauma. Whether it be big, or small. I always joke, I’m like, ‘Well my kids better not talk about childhood trauma because they have the best freaking lives,’ ” Kardashian said.

“And they do! But it’s going to happen. It’s the inevitable,” she added.

Kardashian, who has been open about her perfectionist tendencies, admitted that some of her own behaviors have already influenced her children.

Speaking to Bustle in an interview last month, the mom of two revealed moments where she noticed her habits reflected in her kids’ actions—like when they align their toys in a certain way.

“I notice sometimes my kids will want to line their toys up a certain way, and then I feel bad because I’m like, ‘Oh gosh, they’re mirroring what I’m doing.'” she told the publication. “I know these are silly examples, but I’ve learned it’s OK for me to show a messy room because I don’t want them to feel like everything has to be perfect.”

The reality star and entrepreneur also shared how her journey as a mother has pushed her to be more patient and compassionate with herself.

She continued, “I’m so much kinder to other people than I am to myself. With my kids, I had to learn, well, why do I give so much grace and empathy and understanding to everybody else? It’s OK for me to give myself that same patience and grace.”
