Legend tells his daughter, “Lately we’ve been getting some good advice about phones and social media and how dangerous they are. We’re not going to let you have a smartphone until you’re like, 16 years old.”
She replied, negotiating, “How about we compromise on 9?”
Legend talks to his daughter about one song in particular, “Always Come Back.” He says in the interview that the song was created to remind his children that both he and wife, Teigen, although they have to travel for work, they will, “always come back.”
“I have to travel a lot for work, mommy has to go away for work sometimes, but we’ve always been telling you since you were a little baby that mommy and daddy always come back,” the 45-year-old told his daughter.
They also discussed Luna’s cover art for the albums first single, “L-O-V-E,” to which she admitted was “fun to do”. In addition to the cover art, Luna, her brother Miles, and mother all lent their vocals to the song as well.
“My Favorite Dream” has unquestionably been a hit with fans worldwide. The project has been nominated for Best Children’s Music Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards. According to the father-of-four, this project is extremely special because it was written for Legend’s family.
