Tiger Woods had a fun-filled weekend with his kids at the 2024 PNC Championship.
The legendary golfer teamed up with his 15-year-old son, Charlie, on the course, while his 17-year-old daughter, Sam, returned as their caddie for the second year in a row.
In photos and videos captured, the trio could ve seen sharing smiles as they geared up for a day of fun and golf.
The PNC Championship has become a family tradition for Tiger and Charlie, who have competed together for several years. The tournament is unique, pairing professional golfers with their loved ones for a weekend of bonding and friendly competition.
This year’s event was extra special, as Charlie hit a major milestone during Sunday’s final round: his first-ever hole-in-one.
The shot, executed with a perfect 7-iron, drew cheers and helped propel the father-son duo to a second-place finish.
Reflecting on the moment, Charlie expressed his excitement. “It was awesome having Dad there,” he said, according to the ABC News. “That was so much fun. It was just a perfect 7-iron, little cut in there. Of course, I never got to see it go in. So that sucks. But that’s all right.”
For Tiger, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. “That was the thrill of a lifetime to be able to have that moment with Charlie, make his first hole-in-one, [daughter] Sam on the bag, just our family and friends,” Woods said. “That’s what this event is about. It’s about bonding and family.”
Although the pair didn’t secure the championship win, Tiger emphasized the significance of their shared effort. “We had to earn it, and that’s what you want to have,” he added.
Tiger shares his two children with his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. The former couple, who were married in 2004 and divorced in 2010, welcomed Sam in 2007 and Charlie in 2009. Over the years, the close-knit trio has made a habit of creating special memories on and off the golf course.
