Exciting news for theater and Stranger Things fans alike! Gabrielle Nevah Green, a rising star in the entertainment world, is set to join the cast of the highly anticipated Stranger Things stage adaptation, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, on Broadway.
Known for her dynamic talent and captivating presence, Green’s casting is already generating buzz as fans eagerly await the opportunity to see the beloved characters and supernatural elements of the hit Netflix series come to life in a whole new way.
The That Girl Lay Lay alum took to social media to share the exciting news.

“This has been the hardest secret that I’ve ever had to keep. I am beyond honored to play Patty Newby in Stranger Things: The First Shadow on Broadway! Growing up, I never thought that I would have the courage to be on Broadway. It was a dream that felt so far away. This role is a love letter to my childhood. The talented teen spoke to JustJaredJr.com in and exclusive interview in the Fall of 2022, telling the outlet that it was her dream to act on Broadway. “I would love, Broadway would be cool!”
Hard work and dreams do really come true as Gabrielle will take the stage on Broadway as she always wanted to do.
According to the plays official Wikipedia, Stranger Things: The First Shadow is a play written by Kate Trefry from an original story by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne and Trefry. The story serves as a prequel to the events of the television series Stranger Things. The play first previewed on November 17, 2023, and officially opened on December 14 at the Phoenix Theatre in London’s West End to rave reviews.
In addition to her role in Nickelodeon’s That Girl Lay Lay, you may remember seeing Gabrielle in Nickelodeon’s All That and in the animated series Monster High and Max’s Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai.
