Tia Mowry and son Cree are spending some mother/son quality time in the Middle East. Recently, the mother of two shared that she and her 13-year-old took a one-on-one trip to Abu Dhabi.
“AbuDhabi, you’ve been absolutely breathtaking! I’ve had the most incredible time exploring this beautiful country and creating unforgettable memories with my son, Cree,” the Sister Sister alum began a caption of a carousel of images, detailing she and her son’s special vacation.
“This was the first of many trips with just me and my son. My goal is to build a special one-on-one connection with each of my kids. Traveling and exploring is so important for shaping character—integrity, mindset, and more. I want my son to see that the world is so much bigger than ourselves. Cultures, religions, food… there’s so much to discover. So… where are we off to next?”
In addition to Cree, Mowry is also mother to six-year-old Cairo. The 46-year-old shares her two children with ex-husband, Cory Hardrict. Hardrict and Mowry called it quits in October of 2022, finalizing their divorce in April of 2023.
Since then, Mowry has been on post-divorce journey, reestablishing herself, entering into a new stage in life.
In her latest on-screen project, a new reality show entitled, Tia Mowry: My Next Act, the actress opens up about her life post-divorce.
In the eight-episode series, which aired back in October of this year, Mowry allows the audience to see first-hand how she is adapting to her new normal.
“I feel like one of the hardest things that I’ve had to adapt to is dropping my kids off at their dad’s house. I always wanted the family dynamic of having a mom and dad in one household. When you’re dropping your kids off, you can visually see how that is no longer,” she says in the preview for the series.
During an actual episode, in a confessional moment, Mowry shares what she has learned most about herself throughout this entire process.
“The biggest change, the thing that I’ve learned about myself, is taking responsibility for my own pain and suffering,” she said. “So, you know, therapy, journaling, spending time with myself. Solitude is not punishment,” she continued.
And of course, as one chapter ends, excitement about the new is inevitable, and Mowry conquers, she is, “… excited about my new chapter.”
