Pregnant Skai Jackson turned heads at the Los Angeles premiere of her latest thriller, The Man in the White Van, on Tuesday evening.
The 22-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Deondre Burgin, known as “Yerkky Yerkky,” looked fabulous in a fitting brown dress that beautifully showcased her baby bump.
The highly anticipated film, hitting theaters on December 13, 2024, is a suspenseful drama inspired by real events. The Man in the White Van tells the harrowing story of Annie (Madison Wolfe), a young girl in 1975 Florida targeted by a mysterious white van.
The film also stars Brec Bassinger, Ali Larter, and Sean Astin, with Jackson starring as character “Patty”. Directed by Warren Skeels, the movie promises an unforgettable cinematic experience.
While balancing her thriving career, Jackson has been candid about the challenges of pregnancy. In a recent Snapchat update, the Disney alum opened up about her struggles, including managing scoliosis and enduring consistent morning sickness.
“Every single day I’m in pain,” she revealed. “I’ve been sick my entire pregnancy! Throwing up and all that, but I’ll speak more about it in the future.”
Jackson also shared her difficulty with food aversions, noting that protein shakes have become an essential part of her diet. “I drink them because certain foods I just can’t eat. I’ll throw them up,” she explained.
Despite the hurdles, Skai remains positive as she prepares for both her film’s release and the arrival of her first child.
“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life—embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full!” she told People in November.
Reflecting on her role as a public figure, Jackson acknowledged there’s “a lot of pressure” of being a role model.
“At the end of the day, I look at myself as the regular person that people just happen to like or enjoy,” she added.
