Snoop Dogg’s animated series, Doggyland, has enlisted young rap star VanVan to voice its newest character, Vancy, a spirited Dalmatian puppy.
Vancy makes her debut in the song “Grateful,” now available on YouTube and major streaming platforms. The upbeat track encourages children to practice gratitude, using catchy lyrics and melodies to help kids recognize and appreciate life’s positives.
”I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of Doggyland! Voicing Vancy is a dream come true. Thank you for this amazing opportunity!” VanVan said in a recent press release, echoing the song’s theme.
Co-creator, Claude Brooks, is also both excited and grateful to have VanVan join the Doggyland team.
“We are thrilled to welcome Vancy to ‘Doggyland’, and VanVan brings her character to life in such a fun and relatable way,” Brooks said in the same press release. “Vancy’s debut in ‘Grateful’ will inspire kids to think about gratitude and positive thinking in ways that are playful and easy for them to understand.”
Snoop Dogg himself echoed Brooks’ sentiments saying that VanVan brings “a natural charm” to her role as Vancy.
“We’ve collabed with [VanVan] on a few things in the past and it’s finally time for her to become part of the cast,” Snoop commented. “She is a gifted rapper and natural entertainer, bringing a natural charm and exuberance to her role of Vancy, a young pup with a lot of style and more importantly integrity. I can’t wait for you all to see how she elevates every song and video she is a part of.”
According to the resent press release, Doggyland has grown rapidly since its 2022 debut, drawing families and educators for its engaging, educational content that supports social-emotional and cognitive development in young audiences.
The introduction of Vancy is part of the series’ commitment to bringing fresh, relevant characters and lessons that reflect real-world values like kindness, friendship, and self-expression.
If you haven’t tuned-in yet, what are you waiting for? Doggyland now gets over 1.5 million views per day across YouTube/YouTube Kids, HappyKids.tv, and Kidoodle.
