Anansa Sims took to Instagram today to celebrate her mother, the legendary supermodel Beverly Johnson, with a touching birthday tribute.
Along with her message, Anansa shared photos and videos capturing Beverly enjoying a family dinner with Sims, her husband Brian Maillian, and their grandkids.

watched you be an independent hard working successful woman, a self made millionaire, an Icon, a living legend, but most of all an amazing Mother and Grandmother. I love this chapter in life for you Softa. Look at the family we’ve created. It use to just be the two of us. Now look how God has Blessed us.”
She continued, “Mom thank you for teaching me to move with class, never shrink myself, that I’m the prize, always love myself, take no mess and for these bomb genes. I love you more than I can put in words. I cherish you and I’m grateful for you. Happy Birthday. The sizzling 70’s never looked so good! Like fine wine Hunty! Oh and you know Ash gonna be Ash. Her fiancé, former NBA star Matt Barnes, joined in on the celebration, commenting, Happy birthday, Bev.”
The birthday dinner featured moments of humor, with Ashton suggesting that his baby brother be sent to an “orphanage for one day.”
Matt humorously commented, “Ashton is tired of sharing his mommy. He told Austin… Pack a bag & brush his teeth on the way out.”
Matt and Anansa’s blended family includes seven children. Matt has twin boys from a previous relationship, Anansa has three kids from her first marriage, and together, they share Ashton and their newest addition, baby Austin.
