Are you glad that the hit Fox television show, The Masked Singer is back with new exciting episodes and fun? Well, we are! And so are the millions of fans that are tuning-in to see the big reveals of the competing celebrities. One performance in particular has viewers trying to crack the code as to who is the Woodpecker. Well, keep reading because following are the reasons why fans think it is none other than, Marsai Martin.
At opening note, when you hear the Woodpecker start to sing, you immediately get Miley Cyrus vibes, even though the masked singer was introduced by, Jenifer Lewis, who has known the Woodpecker “since her start.”
Well, that clue immediately takes the spotlight off of Cyrus pointing to none other than actress and businesswoman, Marsai Martin. Lewis starred with Martin, “since her start,” on the long-running award-winning ABC show, Black-ish.
Next clue, the Woodpecker states that she is a “chic CEO” and also name drops one of her famous friends, Beyoncé. It is revealed that the Woodpecker was a child actor and that she is “striving to be the youngest billionaire or trillionaire.”
Who else could it be? No one but, Marsai!
The 20-year-old has made a name for herself beyond that as an actress to include being a budding mogul as the CEO of her own production company, Genius Entertainment, a beauty business owner, a high end product line spokesperson, and more.
But, that’s not all the clues that are pointing towards Martin being the Woodpecker. There were visual ones as well!
Among the visual clues were sports tape (Martin is dating NASCAR driver Rajah Caruth); there was a framed sign that reads “Family” (another nod to Black-ish) and an S.A.T. score card (still yet another not to Black-ish. If you were a fan of the show, then you definitely know that Martin’s character, Diane, was genius-level smart).
With all of those clues, how can The Woodpecker not be Marsai Martin? If it is anyone else other than Martin herself, then we would unquestionably be shocked! Make sure to mark your calendars and tune-in to The Masked Singer to find out if Martin is the Woodpecker or not!
