KIYAN ANTHONY MAKES HIS OFFICIAL VISIT TO USC

Kiyan Anthony, son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony and Lala Anthony, took to Instagram yesterday to share a sneak peek of his official visit to the University of Southern California (USC).

In the post, Kiyan proudly sported the Trojans’ iconic cardinal and gold jersey while posing with his parents, who joined him for the campus tour.

With the caption “Fight on?”—a nod to USC’s famous fight song—Kiyan hinted at the possibility of joining the Trojans’ basketball program.

Anthony is currently one of the top high school prospects in the country, ranked 28th overall by 247Sports for the class of 2025.

A talented four-star shooting guard, he has garnered attention from several prestigious colleges, receiving offers from over 21 schools. His recent visit to USC is just one of many stops on his collegiate journey.

In October, he will visit Syracuse, Florida State, and Rutgers, according to 247Sports.

Though many fans might expect Kiyan to follow in his father’s footsteps to Syracuse—where Carmelo Anthony made history by leading the Orange to an NCAA championship in 2003—Kiyan is determined to forge his own path.

“[My father] never pushes me to go to Syracuse just because his name is on the gym,” Kiyan said in an interview with ESPN’s Myron Medcalf, “He did so much at Syracuse. He knows that I’m my own person. I’ve just got to make my own decision at the end of the day.”

He continued, “If it is Syracuse—I go there a lot and I practice, I work out there—if it is that, that’s what it is. But he’s never going to say, ‘You got to go to Syracuse. You got to go there because I went there.’ He’s not going to make me follow in his footsteps unless I really want to.”

Kiyan’s long list of offers includes powerhouse programs like Tennessee, Michigan, Maryland, Indiana, Ohio State, Auburn, and Arizona State.
