Rapper YG and his adorable daughters, Harmony and Vibe, were spotted courtside at the Phoenix Mercury vs. Los Angeles Sparks game on Tuesday night, September 17th.
The game, held at the Crypto.com Arena, saw the Phoenix Mercury pull off a thrilling 85-81 comeback win, but it was YG’s sweet father-daughter moment that captured attention.
For the outing, 34-year-old rapper kept it sleek in an all-black ensemble, while his daughters, Harmony, 9, and Vibe, 5, melted hearts in matching lilac dresses
For YG, who co-parents his daughters with ex Catelyn Sparks, fatherhood comes first.
In a recent interview, he opened up about the values he strives to instill in his daughters.
“Like when you raising a kid, like what you teach them at a young age, you feel me, they’re going to grow up with that and started them,” he said.
The musician has a hands-on approach to parenting, explaining that when he sees his daughters doing something wrong, he addresses it immediately.
“Every time I see my daughter’s doing something wrong, I tell them they do it wrong, I’m I tell them why they doing wrong, you know what I’m saying,” he explained.
He continued, “It’s very important because if you don’t shape your kids at a young age, you feel going to grow up and be however they be, and it’s going to be your fault as a parent at the end of the day.”
In addition to his role as a doting dad, YG has had a busy year professionally. He recently dropped Re’d Up 3 on August 16, the long-awaited follow-up to his popular 2011 and 2013 projects.
Featuring collaborations with big names like Ty Dolla $ign, Saweetie, Lil Yachty, and Mozzy, the album spans 19 tracks across two discs and has been praised for capturing YG’s signature West Coast sound while showcasing his artistic growth.
