Ramon Reed is unquestionably one face that has grown up on the small screen, making him a fan favorite for the Disney Channel. You may recognize the 19-year-old from his stint on shows like, Just Roll With It, Disney Channel Halloween House Party, among others. Broadway aficionados will remember him as Young Simba in “The Lion King” and of course, Netflix fans will recognize him from the feature adaptation of 13: The Musical. Well, the talented young man is back on the streaming giant, this time in the Netflix hit, Incoming.
As one of Netflix’s most watched weekly tittles, Incoming is definitely a must-see born from the high school experiences of Dave and John Chernin.
“I remember me and Dave sitting by a window with the lights off just looking into the backyard at this raging high school house party next door thinking that is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen,” John told Tudum in an interview about the movie.
Dave added, “This is the type of movie that hadn’t come along in a while. There always felt like there was one of these per generation. It was just something silly that prized laughter above all else that I think we really wanted to see, more than anything.”
So, just what can Ramon Reed fans expect from this latest project? Well, according to IMDb.com, Incoming, is a tale about how “four freshmen navigate the terrors of adolescence at their first-ever high school party.”
In addition to Reed, who portrays Eddie in the movie, the film also features: Loren Gray (Glow Up with Loren Gray, Outsiders), Mason Thames (The Black Phone, For All Mankind), Raphael Alejandro (Once Upon a Time, Bunk’d) and Bardia Seiri (Grey’s Anatomy, Life in Pieces), among others.
Incoming is R-rated and not for all audiences. However, if you do tune-in, it truly is one of the funniest movies that is on Netflix right now and the Chernin unquestionably did what they set out to do because this is that for this generation!
