Former NBA player Matt Barnes and his fiancée Anansa Sims have welcomed their second child together-a baby boy!
Matt took to Instagram Stories yesterday to share the news, posting a video of their newborn wrapped in a hospital blanket.
He captioned the clip, “Fresh out and he’s on Nip,” referencing the music playing by the late rapper Nipsey Hussle.
Matt and Anansa announced their pregnancy in June, posting a photo of Barnes tenderly cradling Sim’s baby bump while their son stood proudly to the side.
“All because two people fell in love,” they captioned the snap.
The couple’s blended family now includes seven children. Matt has twin boys from a previous relationship, Anansa has three children from her first marriage, and together they share their son and their newborn.
In a touching tribute to his family, Matt recently got a tattoo in the shape of the number 8 on his leg.
The tattoo features the names of all of his children, as well as Anansa’s, symbolizing their united family.
Moved by the gesture, Anansa expressed her gratitude in a sweet Instagram post, praising Matt for embracing all of their children as his own.
She wrote, “So Beautiful Baby! The meaning, the symbolism, the love, the dedication, the tribute to our family and love we all share together. Love is an action word and Baby you show us daily with the things you do, not just say. A Partner, Best Friend, Father, Father Figure, Protector, Provider, True Example of a Man.”
She continued, “I’m grateful for how you love us all out loud. Loving each other and loving all of our kids as our own is an answered prayer of mine. Blended and Blessed. I love you. My Man My Man My Man.”
