Congratulations are in order for Dear White People actress, Ashley Blane Featherson-Jenkins and her husband, Darroll Jenkins. The couple recently welcomed their baby girl, Aspen Dior Jenkins to the world and the new mom is sharing first pics of her adorable daughter.
In a joint post this week on social media, the new mom and her husband shared a carousel of images of their expanding family. They started their caption of the post, “Life Has Never Been Sweeter. Love Has Never Been Deeper. It’s Impossible To Deny That She Is Heaven Sent. These Are The BEST Days Of Our Lives.”
The couple concluded their post with a “fun fact” for fans about baby Aspen.
“Fun Fact: Aspen Was Born To “Endless Love” Followed By Beyoncé’s “Superpower” Like A True Virgo.”
Many famous faces and fans alike all wanted to be among the first ones to share congratulatory messages with the new parents.
Actress and producer, Tika Sumpter wrote, “congratulations,” in the comments followed by three red hearts.
They Cloned Tyrone actress, Teyona Parris commented, “You DID it, sister!!! Congratulations to the beautiful Jenkins Family!! We love yall!!”
Writer and creator, Ashley Sirah Nicole Chea, commented saying that baby Aspen is perfect, of course, followed by three red hearts as well.
“7 pounds, 7 ounces. Perfect, just perfect. We love her already.”
Back in April of this year, the couple broke the news that they were expecting their first child together as a result of IVF. They broke the news via a viral social media video.In the beginning of the video, the Trials To Triumphs Podcast host sends a special message to their baby.
“See you soon. We love you. We hope you look like us, but you’re probably just gonna look like him,” Featherson-Jenkins commented as she panned the camera to include her husband.
“But I really hope you look like me a little bit, just a little bit, that would be amazing,” she concluded the video before inviting fans to share in her personal IVF journey set to Beyonce and Rumi Carter’s “Protector”.
