Lauren London’s youngest son, Kross Ermias Asghedom, celebrated his 8th birthday on August 31, 2024.
To mark the occasion, London took to Instagram on Saturday to share a sweet tribute to her son.
“Kross, My little Wise One. You are the Hope and Promise. God shines through you. Happy 8th Birthday to my baby,” she wrote alongside a photo of her second-born.
In 2016, London welcomed Kross with her partner, the late rapper Nipsey Hussle. Shortly after Kross’arrival, London posted a touching photo on Instagram of her newborn son holding her hand.
She captioned it, “And then came You. Last week I gave birth to a beautiful healthy happy baby boy. Blessed.”
Hussle shared the same image and simply wrote, “KROSS 8.31.16.”
Tragically, Kross was just 2½ years old when his father, Hussle, was fatally shot outside his Los Angeles Marathon clothing store in March 2019. Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom, was only 33 years old at the time of his death.
Since then, London has remained a pillar of strength for her children, including her older son, Kameron, whom she shares with rapper Lil Wayne. The actress has been open about her grief and how she navigates life’s challenges with her kids.
On an episode of Angie Martinez’s podcast In Real Life in 2022, London shared, “I was very honest with them, this is life I’m not going to pretend this don’t exist, this is sadness. I’m very transparent with my kids because I don’t want them to have a false reality of life you know what I mean. I want them to be like strapped up and ready to go.”
Lauren has remained focused on her children’s happiness, saying it’s what keeps her going on the toughest days.
“They deserve joy, why would I rob them of that? That gets me up,” she added.
