Keke Palmer is setting the record straight on her birthday!
The actress and singer, who turns 31 today, took to Instagram to celebrate the special day with a series of photos, including one with Darius Jackson and their son, Leodis.
In one of the photos, Keke is seen with a friend who playfully placed a hand on her belly, leading some fans to wonder if Palmer might be pregnant with her second child.
One fan even commented, “That hand on the stomach almost made me think ‘we’ had another Keke coming.”
But Keke, always quick with a witty response, put the speculation to rest.
She replied, “idk why her a&s did that haha cause honey the way I was drinking last night the “baby” wouldn’t be making.”
Along with the photos, Keke shared a message reflecting on her birthday and the importance of community in her life.
“I don’t want to be long I just wanna be clear! I AM GRATEFUL TO GOD FOR ANOTHER YEAR! I’m not here for a long time but I am here for a community rich time and that’s what I have. It’s my birthday but it’s my communities birthday too because they are the ones that got me this far,” she wrote.
She continued, “We are all alone in this world, we come in alone and we go out alone but what we share is this experience. In that shared experience we know what it’s like to be as one in togetherness, in that community is where God lives. In that love, that hope and that joy. I am forever grateful to know that and to have that. This is 31! More pictures coming because me and my crew looked fly all night!!! (So mad I didn’t get a solo shot with my dad!!!”
While she did not share a solo shot with her dad, she did share a couple with her son, Leodis, whom she recently expressed her deep love for in another Instagram post.
“I just love my son so much,” Palmer wrote. “I don’t think our children will ever know the things we’ve overcome within ourselves just to rise to the occasion of being their parent. And they don’t have to, it’s not a burden to bear! One day he will be a grown man and have his own life and his own family and it will be a joy to see him carry on his teachings and share that freedom with the next generation..”
