Isabella Strahan, the 19-year-old daughter of TV personality Michael Strahan, is back at the University of Southern California, just a month after announcing she’s cancer-free.
On August 20, Isabella shared the exciting news on her Instagram Stories, posting a selfie with her mother, Jean Muggli, as she headed back to USC.
“Back at USC,” she captioned the photo, flashing a smile and a playful wink at the camera.
@isabellastrahan New apartment who this ‼️‼️
The teenager also celebrated her return by posting a TikTok video, where she danced and jumped around her new off-campus apartment. “New apartment who this ‼️‼️” she wrote underneath the clip.
Isabella’s freshman year at USC took an unexpected and heartbreaking turn in October 2023 when she was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor located in her cerebellum. The diagnosis required emergency surgery, cutting short what was supposed to be the start of her college journey.
The aspiring model faced a grueling battle against cancer, undergoing three brain surgeries, six weeks of radiation, and four rounds of chemotherapy. Despite these challenges, she remained resilient and determined, documenting her entire journey through a YouTube series that provided inspiration to many.
The turning point came on July 18, when Isabella announced in a vlog titled “Goodbye Hospital” that she was officially cancer-free.
To mark the occasion, she also shared a series of photos on Instagram, capturing the significant moment when she rang the hospital bell after completing her chemotherapy.
“After the wildest 8 months, I finally got to ring the bell. Grateful for my journey,” she wrote in her post.
Her father, Michael Strahan, couldn’t have been prouder. The Good Morning America co-host took to Instagram to celebrate his daughter’s strength and resilience, writing, “@isabellastrahan you are a SUPERWOMAN! Ringing that bell, finishing chemo, and on your way! You continue to fight with a smile on your face, strength, and determination. I am one proud Dad! Love you, Bella.”
