DEIONDRA SANDERS SAYS HER BABY WAS A ‘MIRACLE’ AND ‘DESTINED BY GOD’

Deiondra Sanders, daughter of football legend Deion Sanders, is full of gratitude after welcoming her son with Jacquees.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the 32-year-old shared that doctors are astonished by the fact that she was able to carry a baby despite having multiple fibroids in her uterus.

“Doctors said its a miracle Baby Que found a safe space in my uterus to latch on too and get nutrients. They said my fibroids are are like cobble stone within my uterus. The baby is destined by God.”

Sanders concluded, “Thank you Jesus for my blessing,” followed by two heart emoji’s.

Shortly after Baby Que’s arrival, Deiondra took to Instagram to share photos of herself, her fiancé Jacquees, and their newborn. She recounted the journey of overcoming significant health challenges, including fibroids, threatened miscarriages, and a series of medical interventions.

“WE MADE IT YALL🥹 Through every challenge—the fibroids, the threatened miscarriages, the shortened cervix, the cerclage, the myomectomies, the wisdom of age (keep it cute lol), placenta accreta and taking my entire uterus, the bed rest, and the prayers to reach 28 weeks—by the grace of God, WE MADE IT.”‘

Her post continued, “I can’t do anything but praise Him! Thank you, God. Thank you, Jesus. This journey has been long, but seeing your face, my sweet baby boy, made every moment worthwhile. I am overjoyed to be your mom and cannot wait to share a lifetime of love and adventures with you. I love you so much Baby Que. I Love you so much Que.”

She also shared Baby Que’s birth details: “36 weeks | 9:57 am | 6 lbs 13 ounces | 18 inches long, Fun Fact: the same Doctor who delivered Baby Que delivered me,” she concluded.

By sharing her story, Sanders is helping to shed light on Black maternal health issues.

According to the Mayo Clinic, Black women in the U.S. are up to three times more likely than white women to develop uterine fibroids. While noncancerous, fibroids can cause painful and excessive uterine bleeding, interfere with everyday life and self-image, and affect fertility.
