DaniLeigh and DaBaby celebrated a special milestone on Monday—their daughter Velour’s 3rd birthday.
The former couple, who have had their share of public ups and downs, each took to social media to express their love for their little girl.
DaniLeigh shared sweet snapshots from Velour’s Minnie Mouse-themed party, where the birthday girl was dressed as Minnie herself, surrounded by guests clad in pink.
The singer’s caption read, “BIG 3-LO where does time goooo??? my little big baby girl. Happy Birthday, my princess !!!”
The celebration continued the next day when DaBaby treated Velour to a fun-filled outing. The rapper took his baby girl to see dolphins and topped off their day with a shopping spree at Target.
He shared a video of their daddy-daughter day, captioning it, “Daddy Phat baby turnt 3 yesterday.”
DaniLeigh and DaBaby, who were first linked in 2020, had a whirlwind romance that quickly took a dramatic turn.
After a brief relationship, they split in 2021, with their breakup playing out publicly. The situation escalated during a heated argument on Instagram Live when Velour was just a few months old.
In November 2021, tensions hit a peak when DaBaby called the police to his North Carolina home, claiming he had “been beat on and yelled at” by DaniLeigh. The incident, broadcasted live on social media, ended with DaniLeigh being removed from the residence.
Despite their rocky past, DaniLeigh and DaBaby have managed to find common ground in co-parenting Velour. Both are committed to ensuring their daughter grows up happy and loved, with each parent playing an active role in her life.
In addition to Velour, DaBaby is a father to three more daughters. His oldest, Serenity, was born in 2017 to entrepreneur MeMe. DaBaby also shares two daughters with a woman named Quita
The rapper has been candid about his fatherhood journey, even referencing it in his music. In his song “Yea Come On,” he raps about having “four daughters by three different baby mamas”.
