On Saturday, The Game confirmed that he has a baby on the way, and hinted that the baby’s mother is Evelyn Lozada’s daughter, Shaniece Hairston.
For weeks, rumors have been swirling about the pair expecting a child together, with many speculating about their relationship and the age difference between them.
During an interview on the “Tacos and Shawarma” podcast, host Elle mentioned the age difference, saying, “Your new baby mom, she is a lot younger than you.”
The Game clarified, “She’s in her 30s.”
Shaniece Hairston is 31, which supports the speculation that she is the expectant mother.
The Game also debunked rumors that Hairston is expecting twins after Elle said, “I heard you expecting twins”.
To which The Game replied, “You got to stay off the internet. I am expecting one child.”
Reflecting on his age and impending fatherhood, he said, “I think about it in years. Like i am 44. When my new child is 21, i’ll be 65 right and that seems kind of old until you start thinking about who is 65 now.
The rapper noted that some celebrities approaching 60 still look “young and cool,” so he’s not concerned about the age difference between him and his new baby.
He continued, “So it ain’t that bad, But I think at the end of the day, it’s new life. It’s going to be a different parenting experience from when i was younger so when i was younger, i was still hard head in the streets and you know like i don’t know how i even made it to this point in my life. My kids are all fine, straight A students and good. So it will just be interesting to parenting at this age.”
The Game already shares three kids—California “Cali” Dream, 13, and sons King Justice, 17, and Harlem Caron, 21—from previous relationships.
Meanwhile, this will be the first child for Shaniece, who announced her pregnancy in June. She shared a photo of her baby bump with the caption, “Another trip around the sun and in my prayers birthday suit yet.”
Lozada also wished her daughter, saying, “Happy birthday to my AMAZING daughter @shanieceh,” Lozada wrote in her caption. “You have always been my greatest blessing, and now you are bringing even more joy into our lives with your little one on the way.”
