Joie Chavis and NFL star Trevon Diggs have officially ended their relationship as they prepare to welcome their baby girl.
The 35-year-old influencer and entrepreneur confirmed the breakup on Instagram, responding to a fan’s query about their relationship status with, “No, we aren’t. I think that’s obvious.”
Joie first announced her pregnancy in March by sharing a video on Instagram, showcasing her baby bump set to the sounds of Maxwell’s “This Woman’s Work.”
She later revealed the baby’s gender by posting a picture of a white cake with the words “Baby is a…” on it. In another post, Joie, donning a pink dress and surrounded by an all-pink room, sliced the cake to unveil a pink interior, signaling they are expecting a baby girl.
Initially, Chavis kept the identity of her baby’s father under wraps. However, she shared in a recent YouTube video that Trevon Diggs is indeed the father.
In the Vlog, Joie recounted a humorous moment about Trevon’s initial thoughts on their baby’s gender. “I know Trey thought it was a boy ’cause I showed him the pictures and he was like, ‘Yeah, look at my son…..’, Joie explained.
Chavis is already a proud mother to two children from previous relationships. She shares 13-year-old daughter Shai Moss with rapper Bow Wow and 5-year-old son Hendrix Wilburn with rapper Future.
In a previous interview in 2021, she addressed misconceptions surrounding her relationships and her choice to have children with different high-profile partners.
She said, “[Some people say], ‘Oh, she’s a gold digger,’ or ‘She’s just having these babies to secure a bag.’ I always have worked since I was 15 years old. I don’t know what it’s like to just not do anything. So, I think that’s the biggest misconception and it doesn’t bother me at all. The people that know me know, obviously, I’m much more than that.”
