“I mean, I think I just live it,” Theron said of how she teaches her daughters to help others, adding, “I think the thing that I’ve learned as a parent, is like, as soon as you tell them to do something, they don’t do it so. Reverse psychology is what I believe in.”

The Oscar-winning actress adopted her two daughters, Jackson in 2012 and August in 2015. The South African-native has a true altruistic spirit and hopes that one day her girls will follow in her footsteps, becoming philanthropists as well.

“This is something that I fell in love with before my children came into my life. It’s part of me now. It’s been 17 years,” she told DiLaura of the CTAOP. “They have really seen me be a part of this and work towards making this as successful as possible. And so hopefully, [they learn] through that.”

If you are unfamiliar wit the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP), keep reading. The organization was founded in 2007.

According to the CTAOP official website, the organization seeks to remedy major issues in Africa, including sexual and reproductive healthcare discrepancies, gender-based violence, HIV/Aids and lack of accessible education materials for young Africans.

In addition to Theron’s desire for her children to become philanthropists, she also wants them to find their own paths in life. “I hope that they will find their own interests.”

“My youngest daughter is incredibly interested, and she’s done little speeches at her school about it,” the 48-year-old explained. “I just take a step back because I want them to discover this for themselves. I don’t want them to be mini me’s. Just be good people. That’s what I want them to be.”

We cannot wait to see how the Monster actress and her girls change the world. It looks like they are unquestionably on the perfect path to do so.
