In a recent exclusive interview with People Magazine, former NFL star Robert Griffin III is opening up about his feelings on being father to four daughters. The 34-year-old told the outlet that being a #girldad unquestionably “changes your perspective on life.”
“Honestly, it just changes your perspective on life. No matter whatever’s happened with me on camera, off camera, when I come home, I’m Daddy. And they run up to Daddy and they give Daddy a hug and it takes all your worries away,” says the proud #girldad told the outlet at the Receiver premiere in Los Angeles earlier this week.
Griffin went on to explain how raising daughters and motivating them to work hard gives him an “amazing” feeling.
“For me, it’s just instilling in them that they can be whatever they want to be, as long as they work hard at it and just enjoy life. So that, for me, has been amazing,” he told the outlet. “They got an amazing mother here in my wife, Grete, who really makes a lot of sacrifices for me to be able to do the job that I’m doing. But she always makes it to where I’m present for my kids and I want to be present for them.”
He added,”So they just love me for who I am every day, how I love their mom, how I treat them, how I raise them. And that, to me, is something that I don’t take lightly. I take it very seriously. And it’s a joy to be their dad.”
Griffin and his wife, Grete Šadeiko Griffin, 31 share: Gia, 18 months, Gameya, 4, and Gloria, 7. The former quarterback is also dad to 9-year-old daughter Reese Ann from a previous relationship.
We unquestionably think that it is “amazing” to be a #girldad and it looks like Robert Griffin III is doing an amazing job.
