Da Brat and her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, recently celebrated a major milestone: their son True Legend’s first birthday!
Taking to Instagram on July 6th, the couple posted a series of photos from his Coco Melon-themed photoshoot dubbed “TrueComelon.”
Da Brat captioned one of the snaps, “TrueComelon OMG it’s been one year already. Our KING, our True-True, our stanky man! Happy birthday SONshine! You have been the biggest blessing and greatest yiddle miracle of all time.”
She continued, “You’ve taught us so much already. Your yiddle personality is so big! We are enjoying and basking in every moment watching, learning, and teaching you. We could not have asked God for a better gift. Happy birthday, son!! We love you so much!!”
Reflecting on the past year, Da Brat shared her disbelief at how fast time has flown. “I cannot believe it’s been a whole year. There is no love in this world like the love I have for this yiddle human named True Legend Harris-Dupart. @truelegendhd I am still amazed that he came out of my body. I…I…me! I carried him.”
Brat also expressed gratitude to her wife, Judy, for the experience of motherhood.
“Thank you to my beautiful @darealbbjudy for explaining to me the feeling of motherhood and how there is no feeling more loving than this. Thank you for convincing me, baby (Cuz I showl planned for YOU to carry). Best feeling I’ve ever felt in my whole life. Happy birthday, son. We adore you. Relishing in every second we spend together. My heart melts every time I look at you, son.”
Da Brat and Judy’s path to parenthood wasn’t without challenges. In an interview with ET in November 2023, Brat opened up the health scares they faced while undergoing fertility treatments.
“My wife had blood clots in her lungs, [and] she ended up with an enlarged heart, blood thinners [and] hospitalized,” the rapper shared. “And then I ended up having polyps in my uterus and fibroids and all kinds of things. You got to make sure you get checked out… But you know, those are the things that you have to go through.”
She added, “It’s not an easy process. The first embryo transfer was successful, but I miscarried and that was devastating. But we decided to keep going.”
Despite the trials, the pair’s determination eventually led to the arrival of their miracle baby, True Legend.
