Cory Hardrict, 44, made a stylish appearance at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday alongside his son Cree,13, whom he shares with actress Tia Mowry.
The father-son duo turned heads in matching outfits by AMIRI.
“That’s my number one guy. That’s my son. I would have brought my daughter also, but she’s too young,” Hardrict shared while talking to h ET’s Deidre Behar,
Tia Mowry was also in attendance but chose to let the boys have their moment in the spotlight.
During his red carpet chat, Cory reflected on what has kept him going since finalizing his divorce from Mowry in April 2023.
“God’s grace and a lot patience and just being still,” Hardrict revealed. “And just leading by example. I’m just very determined and inspired to keep moving forward and keep taking care of my beautiful children.”
Cory and Tia, 45, ended their 14-year marriage in October 2022, finalizing their divorce in April 2023. Despite the split, they remain devoted to their family.
“Everything is fine. Everyone loves everybody,” Hardrict, who also shares daughter Cairo, 6, with Mowry said. “We’re one big happy family. We’re still a family everything is great.”
Cree, often seen in his mom’s TikTok videos and on screen, has his eyes set on a different path.
“I want to be a professional basketball player when I grow up,” he told ET.
“You heard him, NBA,” Hardrict added. “Look out, my son’s coming.”
On the professional front, Cory is set to star alongside Meagan Good in the upcoming film Divorce in the Black.While the film’s theme mirrors his personal life, he’s focused on positivity.
“I stay still, I just do the work,” he said about working through the next steps of his life and career. “A lot of praying, meditating and I just stay out the way and block out the noise. I’m just walking in purpose. That’s all. I’m excited.”
