If you remember your kids growing up or even yourself tuning in to the Emmy-nominated Nickelodeon favorite, Yo Gabba Gabba, well, get ready for a dose of nostalgia this August as the popular show will get a reboot, starring Kamryn Smith, for a new generation. The updated series will debut on Apple TV+. And as you would expect, we have a first look teaser trailer to get you excited!
If you are not familiar with Yo Gabba Gabba, let us catch you up.
The Nickelodeon children’s preschool musical series, which was created by, Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz and was developed by Kay Wilson Stallings, ran from 2007-2015. The show followed DJ Lance Rock, who always started the program with the words, “Yo Gabba Gabba!”
DJ Lance Rock and his five friendly monsters: Muno, Brobee, Foofa, Toodee and Plex, would always encourage those watching to sing and dance as they mixed music, animation, and live episodes that shared magical experiences with their young viewers.
So just what can parents and preschool fans expect from the upcoming reboot, Yo Gabba GabbaLand? Well, according to Parents.com, check out the brief synopsis below.
Like the original series, the new Yo Gabba GabbaLand features Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Toodee, and Plex. But it includes a new host Kammy Kam, played by 12-year-old up-and-coming actress and dancer, Kamryn Smith.
Also like the original show, Yo Gabba GabbaLand will include musical guest stars known as “Super Music Friends.” The artists will sing songs that bring viewers back to the themes of the show including creativity, growth, and friendship. The goal is to teach kids lessons through song and dance.
If Smith’s face looks familiar, it should. The talented young preteen was a part of the Dance Moms cast. In addition to Smith, other familiar faces include musicians:

As well as familiar faces among the upcoming new series’ musical guests, there will be other guests in the acting realm that parents will recognize such as: Gillian Jacobs (Community), Utkarsh Ambudkar (Ghosts), and Chelsea Peretti (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), among others.
