Congratulations are in order for Raven Goodwin and Wiley Battle, who are expecting their second child together! The actress, known for her standout roles in Being Mary Jane and Glee, shared the news today on her birthday (June 24th).
“32! Thank you God! Waiting for my gift to arrive! Baby #2 Happy Birthday to me!!!!!! Any day now,” she captioned a maternity shoot.
Raven and Wiley first became parents on April 15th, 2020, when they welcomed their daughter, Riley Rosa Bell Battle.
Reflecting on her first week as a mom, Raven shared on Instagram, “I’ve been a mommy for a week. Wow. Her soul is sooo beautiful. She was born on a Wednesday as was I. She has a head full of hair & she is sooooo stunning. She loves music, the sound of her daddy’s voice, and her mamas touch. My daughter you lack nothing, you were born WHOLE, I will make sure you always feel liberated by liberating myself. I’ll always be here.”
Riley is now four years old and has grown into an “intuitive” and “courageous” little girl.
In April, Raven celebrated Riley’s fourth birthday with a loving tribute, writing, ” “You’ll always be my favorite girl! Intuitive, affectionate, kind, courageous, and a little outrageous lol I LOVE YOU PUDDIN’ so much!”
Raven and Wiley tied the knot on October 29, 2021 in a beautiful, private ceremony at Celestia Grand Villas in Santorini, Greece, with their then 1-year-old daughter by their side. Goodwin described the day as “Peaceful. Simple. It was perfect. Just us and our koúkla. 10*29*2021#thebattlesone2021.”
The pair met in 2016 and got engaged in 2019. “I physically bumped into Wiley at #spelhouse @spelman_college @morehouse1867 tailgate on 10-29-2016 and the rest is history,” Raven revealed in a post on Instagram. Cheers to the law of attraction!”
