“It’s the best. With grandkids you don’t have the pressure of taking responsibility for how they get to turn out, so you get to just indulge them and let them have noisy toys that drive their parents crazy,” Knowles jokes. “It’s just the best. They are the best. My grandkids are all super creative and I just love them to death.”

The matriarch of the Knowles family has four grandchildren: Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and her twins Rumi and Sir, 6, as well as Solange’s son Daniel Julez, 19.

When asked what her grandkids call her, she beamed with pride, “They call me grandma.”

Tina Knowles also emphasized how the kids have been given the freedom to explore their passions without any pressure to follow in their parents’ footsteps.

“We’re watching but you know, they still have a lot of time. They’re all super great artists, like visual artists, and very smart,” the proud grandma responds. “We don’t know what’s gonna happen. Whatever they want to do, we support that.”

Earlier this month, Tina Knowles chatted with E! News about her youngest grandkids, Sir and Rumi, offering a look into the budding talents of the twins.

“Rumi is amazing — an amazing artist, painter and creator,” Knowles told the outlet. “How could they be anything else growing up in that environment? All we talk about is creativity and fashion.”

Despite Sir being more reserved than his sisters Rumi and Blue Ivy, Tina described him as “very, very smart.”

“Sir is very quiet,” she said, adding that he “does all of the numbers stuff, so he’s not into fashion as much.”
