Five-year-old Van Van and eight-year-old Heiress Harris appeared on the Tamron Hall Show to perform their viral sensation, “Be You” for the Tam Fam on “Little Dreamers, Big Dreams Part 3.”
Tamron Hall herself shared the excitement on social media, posting, “@therealvanvan_ and @heiressdharris perform their song “Be You” for the Tam Fam? Say LESS. We’re obsessed with these two icons.”
Tamron Hall and the The Tam Fam are not the only ones that are “obsessed” with these two super talented young people. If you haven’t heard “Be You,” then you are definitely in for a treat. The song, which dropped on all major platforms back in March, carries a truly infectious beat and uplifting lyrics, that encourage children to embrace their uniqueness with pride.
Needless to say, as the music video is directed by Hip-Hop legend MC Lyte, “Be You” is definitely a hit on more levels than not.
During their interview, both young rising stars told Hall that they became interested in music at very young ages. For Van Van, it was “two-years-old”.
For Heiress, who’s parents are Grammy-winning entertainers, T.I. and Tiny Harris, she knew that she wanted that she “wanted to be a singer at the age of three or four.”
However, MC Lyte’s collaboration with Van Van goes beyond the girls’ hit song. MC Lyte and Van Van are also collaborating on an upcoming book entitled, “Rhyme Time Adventure: Van Van and MC Lyte Magical Melodies,” which according to myhiphopstore.com, is a “Journey of Magical Melodies in Rhyme Time Adventures! Hidden gems of self-esteem, problem-solving, and believing in oneself are major themes throughout this short but sweet summer story.”
