As Madonna wrapped up her incredible Celebration Tour in Rio De Janeiro, she took a moment to thank her kids, calling them her “ride or dies.”
Over the weekend, the 65-year-old shared behind-the-scenes looks of the tour. In one black and white image, she wrote across the picture of her 18-year-old son, David Banda, “My RIde………… .”
In another image, she shared a picture of her daughter, 18-year-old Mercy James, writing, “OR…,,,,,,,,,,,.”
In a third image with heart emoji’s, the “Papa Don’t Preach,” singer posted an image of her and twin daughters, 11-year-old Stella and Estere, adding across their images, “Dies. #estere #stella.”
Madonna’s children have all shared the spotlight and stage with their mother during her historical tour. They have all had the opportunity to show off their own talents and skills, unquestionably making the material girl one proud mama.
On the eve of the concert coming to an end, Madonna shared a carousel of images of her talented children, captioning the post with heart-warming words of gratitude, pride, and true awe for her children and their accomplishments on stage.
“On the day before our 80th show of the Celebration Tour I need to acknowledge my incredibly talented children who carried me through this Journey each of them bringing their own unique talent to the stage Rehearsals began over a year ago with almost a 2 month break waiting for me recover from a near death experience,” Madonna began her post.
“They never stopped practicing… they never stopped cheering me on and supporting me. There enthusiasm kept me Going!!! They were also going to school and rehearsing every night. !! . am so very proud of all of them. I think what my children learned the most this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you want to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them.”
She concluded, “And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears. Nor will I. It’s a CELEBRATION! @wmag @senzacacona @chifundo_james #estere #stella”
Madonna is mother to six children. In addition to David, Mercy, Stella, and Estere, she is also mother to two older children, Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23.
