Alicia Keys graced the Broadway premiere of her musical “Hell’s Kitchen” on April 20, 2024, in New York City, joined by her husband Swizz Beatz, son Egypt Daoud, and bonus son Kasseem Jr.
Taking to Instagram, Keys shared photos from the event, showcasing moments with her mother, Terria Joseph, along with celebs like Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Gayle King.
Reflecting on the evening, Keys wrote, “Hell’s Kitchen OFFICIALLY opened on Broadway last night and I’m still feeling the buzz. Grateful and in awe of this amazing show!!! I’m normally not a crier but last night got me haaa!! I don’t even have the words… just know this show will change you @HellsKitchenBway.”
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support, she added, “It’s so amazing to a have New York story right in the heart of NY. Thank you deeply for all the love, connection and excitement for this show!! There is magic in the air.”
Beatz chimed in with heartfelt words of praise, saying, “Congrats my love on this amazing masterpiece called Hell’s Kitchen. I’ve watched you craft and build this musical for over 13yrs. To see your dream come true is truly inspiring beyond words. I love that you also included your mother as this has always been her dream. We love you and ultra congrats Broadway will never be the same.”
Hell’s Kitchen” is a jukebox musical drawing inspiration from Keys’ upbringing in 1990s Manhattan, featuring her music and lyrics alongside a book by Kristoffer Diaz.
Having debuted in November 2023 and concluding its initial run at The Public Theater in mid-January, the show returns for a second stint on Broadway.
Keys and Beatz share two children together, Egypt Daoud and Genesis Ali, along with Beatz’s three children from previous relationships, Prince Nasir, Kasseem Jr. and Nicole.
