Happy Birthday wishes are in order for 14-year-old Julian Thicke! Proud papa Robin Thicke is marking his eldest son’s special day with a heartfelt celebration.
In a post on his official Instagram page, the “Blurred Lines” singer honored his son with a carousel of images throughout the years of the teenager. “Happy happy birthday to my 14-year-old son Julian Fuego Thicke! The best big brother, student, chef, singer, actor, writer, speech maker!”
Thicke concluded his caption, “I’m so lucky to be your dad and I thank God every day for you. Love you son.”
The 47-year-old son of the late Alan Thicke shares Julian with ex-wife and actress, 48-year-old Paula Patton. In addition to Julian, Thicke is also father to three other children: daughters six-year-old Mia Love and four-year-old Lola Alain, and two-year-old son, Luca Patrick, with whom he shares with his current wife, April Love Geary.
Earlier this year, Thicke sat down with People Magazine for an interview and told the outlet that it appears as if Julian has inherited the love and talent for performance just like he and his late father.
“My son Julian has been following in Dad’s footsteps. He’s an amazing singer and an amazing performer,” Thicke said in the interview at the time. “I would love for him to follow in my footsteps but I’d rather he follow Barack Obama’s footsteps and become president or something like that.”
He added, “But he’s wonderful just the way he is.”
In another interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Thicke continued to gush over Julian’s natural abilities, revealing, “He’s a natural singer…” And of course, the “Lost Without U” artist “… would give him whatever little pointers I could.”
