Pretty Little Liars fans, the wait is over! We previously reported that the MAX rebooted franchise would receive a season two; however, other than that, we didn’t know any of the other deets. Well, now we do! So, get ready because, Pretty Little Liars: Summer School has a release date!
What can fans of the Pretty Little Liars universe expect from the sequel to Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin? Well, according to JustJaredJr.com, below is a brief synopsis of the action that awaits.
In season two, following the harrowing events of season one, aka Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, our Pretty Little Liars face a fate worse than death – summer school. However, Millwood High isn’t the only thing getting in the way of their fun summer jobs and new, dreamy love interests. A new villain, who may or may not have a connection to A, has come to town and is going to put them all to the test.
According to PLL: Summer School showrunners, this new season will be full of “bigger, badder, bolder” scares.
All of the faces that you cheered for and hoped that they made it to the new season: Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, Maia Reficco, Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Alex Aiono, Jordan Gonzalez and Elias Kacavas, are all returning for new adventures at Millwood High.
One of BCKOnline’s favorite faces, Chandler Kinney took to Instagram as filming for the upcoming series wrapped at the end of last year to share her gratitude for the opportunity to do what she loves and excitement for all to see what was created.
“Another season of our crazy lil show in the bag!!!! I genuinely could not be prouder of our entire PLL family who poured everything into making this season a reality. through rain & shine (and a whole lot more snow than we anticipated for our SUMMER season lol), S2 was a complete and total labor of love. it takes a very special group of people to accomplish what we did, the way we did—people that have a remarkable amount of passion for what they do, and are daring enough to do it even when all the odds are stacked against you. to our crew: you make the impossible possible….and none of this would’ve been possible without your tireless work & dedication. to our wonderful producers, along with @writerras, @lindsaycbring, & @jimmyg517: thank you for keeping this show on the road and expanding our pretty little show in a million different ways that I think people will be reallyyyyy (!!!!) excited about. eeeeep!!! to our whole cast: wow, constantly in awe of the magic you create and humbled to stand next to y’all. I love you all so freakin much. and specifically to my fellow lil lying liars: we did it, again. and I hope we get to do it yet again.”
She concluded, “I’m still wrapping my head around it all and trying to process the last 10 months, but for now I’ll just say, my heart is so so full. I can’t wait for y’all to see what we created.”

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School will debut on MAX with two episodes on Thursday, May 9th, with a new episode every week through June 20th on Max. What a way to kick-off the summer!
