In a rare social media post, actress Charlize Theron is sharing a few spring break candid pics of she and her girls.
To have some spring break fun, the 48-year-old spent some time at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World with her daughters, Jackson 11, and August, 7.
The mother-of-two documented the fun in an Instagram post which she captioned, “Spring break mode activated.”
The Oscar-winning actress welcomed both girls, Jackson in 2012 and August in 2015, to her home through adoption. For many, adoption isn’t necessarily the first consideration of how to bring children into the home. However, for Theron, it was never her “second option”. The consideration of adoption had always been “first”.
“Even when I was in relationships, I was always honest with my partners, that adoption was how my family would look one day,” she said in a 2018 interview with People Magazine. “This was definitely not a second option for me. It was always my first.”
Theron is now transitioning from the mother of little’s to the mother of a soon-to-be preteen and a new middle schooler. In September of last year, the Fast X actress opened up about the changes in her household.
“My oldest just went to middle school and it was literally, it was so sad. I was like, ‘Where’s my baby?'” the star shared while attending the Breitling Navitimer cocktail party in New York City. “And she was like, ‘Mom, please don’t look, mom, don’t hug me,'” Theron continued. “I was like, ‘Can I hug you?’ She’s like, ‘No, no.’ Oh my god. It’s like a whole different game.”
“There’s something about having kids that you’re so aware of the changes that come and they happen really fast and it’s just a tremendous jump from one year to the other. So it’s always exciting to see where they’re going to go in the next year,” she added.
We are glad that Theron is sharing a little more of her the fun that exists in she and her girls’ world. We cannot wait for her to share more!
