Despite having recently welcomed his 11th child to the world, NBA YoungBoy admitted on The Bootleg Kev Podcast that he is “not big” on fatherhood.
In the podcast interview, the 24-year-old was asked about the importance of fatherhood. The rapper replied, while one of his children was sitting in his lap, “I’m not really big on it, to be honest. It’s a crazy topic ’cause I’m not the type to sugarcoat nothing.”
As a result of currently being on house arrest, NBA YoungBoy admitted that he has to be inside, which allows him him to be able to “bond” with his children.
“[My kids and I] bond a lot, but I’m mostly really inside,” he told the interviewer.
And of course, social media had their own opinions of about NBA YoungBoy’s comments, many negative and some, surprisingly enough, in support of the “House Arrest Tingz” rapper.
One social media user wrote, “That’s pretty sad but nearly impossible to be a great father to 11 children. He may never mature.”
Another commented, “This is not a the flex he thought it was.”
One commenter said that NBA YoungBoy’s comments are simply a display of him being a “product of his environment.”
“He been a parent since 16 of course he aint big on it he dont even understand it just doing it out of habit. The boy is a product of his environment.”
@sincerelyme_1986 supported the rapper saying that, “I think he’s saying he’s not big on fatherhood because he’s locked in by the four walls and he’s unable to say or experience life with his children right now. He loves his babies.”
@kmoniofficial echoed @sincerelyme_1986’s sentiments, yet went a bit further saying that NBA YoungBoy made his comments basically just for show. “That man love his kids and it shows. Yb jus be talkin. He kno what to say for y’all to talk.”
NBA YoungBoy shares 11 children, including seven sons and three daughters, with 10 different women. The “Right Foot Creep” rapper has not shared the gender of his youngest child, who was born in April of 2023.
