Tennis legend Serena Williams, husband Alexis Ohanian, and their daughter Olympia, kicked-off the New Year “doing the unexpected” in the Caribbean.
The trio spent quality time on the island making memories as “literal” pirates of the Caribbean!
Serena captioned a video and images of the trio on Instagram stating that, “Yea we doing the unexpected for 2024… keep em guessing.”
On his official Instagram page, Ohanian captioned an image of himself and six-year-old Olympia doing what pirates do: digging for buried treasure on a deserted island.
The tech entrepreneur wrote, “A naughty pirate stole a bunch of gifts for Jr and she had to piece together a map, find the buried treasure on a deserted island in the Caribbean, and dig it up. I think we all know who did most of the digging, though.”
Fans of Serena and Ohanian expressed their enthusiasm, sending New Year wishes to the trio.
“Happy New Year!! Expecting the Unexpected,” one social media user commented on Williams’ carousel of images and video.
Another user told the seven-time Wimbledon-winner, “You look great and beautiful memories.”

“This is so cute… love her pirate outfit.. and love how you guys support letting her explore kid fantasies,” one user said of Ohanian’s treasure dig with his daughter.
Ohanian, known not only for his role as a co-founder of Reddit but also as an involved father, often shares moments of bonding with Olympia. In addition to treasure hunts, he takes pride in doing his daughter’s hair and actively participating in activities that bring smiles to her face.
Back in September, Ohanian gave his daughter the “best day ever” as he took her to do whatever she wanted.
“Papa stop taking a selfie, I’m trying to build.” I gave Olympia the “best day ever” this weekend, where she could pick whatever she wanted to do,” Ohanian said in a previous Instagram post. “It started with building a microscope. I’m so proud. I love this time with our (NEW) 6 year old.”
In addition to Alexis Olympia, Serena and Alexis are parents to daughter, Adira River Ohanian, born in August 2023.
