In an exclusive interview with E! News, Coco Austin opened up about the close bond she shares with her daughter, Chanel. Referring to Chanel as her “little stalker,” Austin revealed that her daughter can’t get enough of her and insists on being with her at all times.
“She won’t let me go anywhere without her,” Coco told E! News’ Francesca Amiker in her interview. “And if I do go out somewhere, she’s calling me all hours of the night, ‘When are you going to be home? What are you doing now? Okay, so what are you doing now?’ I’m like, ‘Can I get a little break?!'”
The mother-of-one doesn’t mind her daughter’s devoted attention at all, because the feeling is definitely mutual. Coco told the outlet that Chanel was the one who taught her what “true love” really is.
“There is a different love that you have from your husband and then a different love for your child,” Coco said. “I can’t explain it and I didn’t know that I could love someone so much. So much.”
She continued, “People probably find it disgusting how we’re so close, but that’s how all mothers are with their children, it’s not just me. It’s amazing.”
Coco Austin, whose real name is Nicole Natalie Austin, shares her daughter with 65-year-old multi-faceted entertainer, Ice T.
In a previous exclusive interview with ET Online, Ice T shared the exciting news that Coco and Chanel will star in their own upcoming television series entitled, Coco Loves Chanel.
“It’s about mothers and Coco’s girlfriends that are mothers,” the Law & Order: SVU actor, told E! News’ Francesca Amiker in his interview. “It’s a feel good show, like our other show. And it’s kind of all about the life of mothers in entertainment with their kids and how they connect and things they go through and stuff. But it’s no nonsense, it’s no ratchetness.”
Even though Chanel is a model, just like her mother, she doesn’t want to actually follow in her mother’s footsteps, she wants to be a “different kind of model”.
“She’s trying to be not like me,” Coco said. “She’s like, ‘I want to be a model but I don’t want to be my mom-type model.’ So I’m the sexy, she’s like the anti-sexy. Whatever I am doing, she’s the anti of that, but she still wants to be in the same category.”
We have no doubt that Chanel is going to achieve her goals in life and then some. We cannot wait to follow her journey on Coco Loves Chanel and beyond!
