Shai Moss attended the movie screening of her new movie, “A Screen Shot To Santa”, last weekend. For the outing, the 12-year-old wore a Dolce & Gabbana red dress that perfectly suited the Christmas-themed event.
Shai joins stars Essence Atkins,Tony Rock, Kennedy Stephen, Torrei Hart, to name a few, in “A Screen Shot To Santa”. Directed by Monica Floyd, the Tubi film tells the tale of two sisters who, faced with a Christmas Eve storm preventing their parents from returning home, unite to outsmart intruders despite their sibling rivalry.
Despite making her on screen debut, Moss is taking a step back from the limelight.
Her mom, Joie Chavis, recently revealed during a Q&A with her fans that Shai “doesn’t like to be recorded.”
Little Miss Shai’s reluctance to be recorded extends to acting as well. Joie explained that her daughter doesn’t want to act and that she feels like her parents “are trying to pressure [her] into acting.”
Chavis emphasized that her tween simply wants to enjoy her childhood – going to school, playing sports, and spending time with friends. She noted, “In my head, I am like, ‘Girl, you are 12, you are so talented and so beautiful. You can be out here getting to the bag at 12.'”
Bow Wow, Shai’s father, had also previously mentioned in a Twitter session back in 2022 that his daughter wasn’t enthusiastic about acting.
“Shai dont wanna act,” he responded to a fan’s question. “Shes such a natural and def can do it but im not the type parent to force her to do it to follow my legacy.”
He continued, “I want her to choose what makes her happy and as her dad im going to support her. Plus i aint have a childhood. I’m actually living through her.”
