You would think that the Olympian Sanya Richards-Ross has her plate full with the impending birth of her second child, but the soon-to-be mother-of-two is proving that there is till time to be an entrepreneur. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Essence Magazine to talk about her new family-friendly pajama collection that has hit the market just in time for the holidays.
Didn’t know that Richards-Ross was in the fashion game? Well, she is and she is striving to bring families closer for the holidays with Coordinates.
“Coordinates is not just a brand; it’s a celebration of creativity, art, joy, energy, harmony, enthusiasm, unity, and, most importantly, family. Coordinates encapsulates the true essence of togetherness. Our launch is inspired by the enchantment of the holiday season with our exquisite matching Winter holiday pajama sets,” the Our Story section of the Coordinates official website reads.
The verbiage continues with a description of the line, detailing the wide-range of products that are available.
“Coordinates provides unique, quality sleepwear, loungewear and lifestyle apparel for adults and children that reflect the diversity of the global apparel market. We encourage families to embrace their creative side, expressing their unique style and personality through our fashion-forward designs.”
The former track star told Essence Magazine in the interview that the “newly fledged line was created with her family in mind. That’s what makes it so special…” to her.
Richards-Ross continued in the Zoom interview saying that “… she collaborated with her family to bring the line to fruition. … her cousin Yolande Kelly and her husband Aaron, … were pivotal to the collection too.”
This is the first entrepreneurial venture that Richards-Ross has embarked upon with her husband Aaron. The MommNation facilitator admitted to the popular entertainment outlet that she has wanted to work with her husband for years and that “this line allowed her to accomplish this feat.”
Richards-Ross and her husband are expecting a new addition to the family in just a few days. We hope to see this new bundle of joy snuggled up with the family in his new Coordinates coming-home outfit!
