Chris “Ludacris” Bridges brought the holiday magic to his hometown of Atlanta at the special screening of Disney’s “Dashing Through the Snow” on November 13, 2023. Joining him at the event were none other than his wife, Eudoxie, and their adorable kids: Cadence, Chance, and Cai Bridges.
For Ludacris, the premiere of “Dashing Through the Snow” felt like a Christmas miracle, especially after the challenges posed by the unprecedented Hollywood actors strike. Eager to showcase the dedication of the cast and crew, Ludacris expressed his excitement about spreading holiday joy through the film.
“We want everyone to see the hard work from all the people behind the scenes and in front of the scenes, so we are just trying to get people in the holiday spirit,” Ludacris says.
In the movie, Bridges takes on the role of Eddie, a social worker who has lost faith in Christmas due to a challenging childhood. The story unfolds as his faith is restored with the help of a Black Santa Claus, portrayed by comedian Lil Rel Howery, and his on-screen daughter named Charlotte, played by Madison Skye Validum.
Ludacris emphasizes the film’s underlying message about rediscovering the joy and magic of the holiday season. The rapper-actor hopes that the movie resonates with adults, serving as a reminder to reconnect with their inner child.
“I want every adult that has so many distractions, and so many responsibilities in the life of today, to just remind themselves of their inner kid and their healing,” Ludacris shares about the movie’s overarching message.
Comedian Lil Rel Howery adds, “Santa does represent your childhood. I think that’s why this is a movie that you can watch with the whole family.”
“Dashing Through the Snow” is now streaming on Disney+.
