You have heard the famous jingle, “Nationwide is on your side,” well, there’s a new viral TikTok sound floating around and Erica Campbell’s daughter, Zaya, is the original voice behind it.
“Well it looks like my sweet girl is going viral @nationwide call me #zayacampbell #nationwide #quartet,” the Mary Mary singer captioned a repost of the video on Instagram of her then six-year-old singing the jingle.
And of course, Nationwide heard the message loud and clear, and responded promptly to the request in the comments saying, “@imericacampbell We don’t have your number or else we would! Check your DMs.”
Although the original video is a few years old, within the past few weeks, the sound has become the latest TikTok trend. Anyone who is everyone has been using it on their posts. However, now that the soulful gospel-style voice that started it all has been revealed, social media fans are even more excited.
“Put her in the Soul Seekers!!” comedian Kevon Stage commented.
Another social media user said, “So this is [where] the original video came from I was wondering who this was .”
The realization of just who was singing for one social media user was definitely an “ah-ha” moment as they commented, “OMG that was Zaya!!! Yeah she’s famous!!! I love it “

In addition to reactions as to the voice behind the sound, many of Campbell’s fans were calling on the Nationwide Insurance Company to “run the Campbell’s a check” and put the now 11-year-old in a Nationwide commercial of her own!
Nothing has been publicly revealed about whether or not Zaya has indeed gotten a check from the popular insurance company, or if there are plans to feature her in any upcoming commercial spots, However, great creative projects always lead to a sequel. Recently, Zaya and her brother, Warryn III, aka Wozy, recorded a follow-up video to the original.
Erica Campbell is one half of the Gospel music duo, Mary Mary, that took the genre by storm with their first hit in 1999, “Shackles (Praise You)”.
