One by one, it seems as if the Kardashian/Jenner clan is pulling rank, circling around NBA star Tristan Thompson, defending him against any and all negative parenting allegations.
In a recent episode of the new season of The Kardashians, which aired on October 12th, the matriarch of the family, Kris Jenner, praised Thompson for figuring out how to co-parent with her daughter, 39-year-old Good American co-founder, Khloe Kardashian.
Jenner said, “Khloe and Tristan have definitely worked out this rhythm. Wherever he is needed, he is running the kids around and he is doing the errands,” she said while referring to two of her grandchildren, five-year-old True, and 16-month-old Tatum.
She added, “We know Tristan has made some mistakes. I know he is really sorry for the way he hurt Khloé. And I am sure he regrets all of those mistakes every single day.”
The mother-of-six concluded in her confessional moment, “Really the most important thing for everyone right now is raising those kids. I worry for Khloé — with Tristan moving out — there will be a void there.”
Jenner’s positive comments about Thompson came on the heels of parenting praise from her 42-year-old daughter Kim Kardashian.
The SKIMS founder spoke out, counteracting accusations made by Kai Craig, aunt of the 32-year-old’s eldest son, six-year-old Prince Oliver. “It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend and he’s such a good like dad, but he just couldn’t get it together in that area, of like being a faithful boyfriend.”
Kardashian continued adding, “When he saw me struggling with my kids, he stepped up.”
So, just what did Kai Craig actually say about Thompson that has warranted this reaction from the Kardashian/Jenner clan?
Well, a week ago, Craig posted on social media, saying that Thompson’s behavior when it came to parenting her nephew as “inexcusable”.
She stated, “It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy, I haven’t for over 7 years, but this is just too much. It’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince.”
Craig continued, concluding, “The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city, yet never sees or speaks to his own son, unless it’s for a party or planned photo opportunity, it is appealing and inexcusable. Stepping up for your son is not all about money, it’s about time spent. [Tristan,] you are NOT a good father if you can’t be a good father to ALL of your kids.”
In addition to Prince Oliver, True, and Tatum, Thompson also shares son Theo with Maralee Nichols.
