It has been a few weeks since the 18-year-old son of LeBron James suffered a cardiac arrest during a workout with his team at the University of California. During the Los Angeles Lakers media day on Monday, the NBA legend spoke to the press, offering a hopeful perspective on his son’s recovery.
“Bronny’s doing extremely well,” the 38-year-old father told the media. “He has began his rehab process to get back on the floor this season with his teammates at USC. He’s on the up-and-up. It’s definitely a whirlwind, a lot of emotions for our family this summer, but the best thing we have is each other.”
James continued in his interview saying that he will dedicate this upcoming season to his son Bronny.
“I’m going to dedicate this season to Bronny because of the incident that happened this summer,” the multi-position athlete said. “It just puts everything into perspective. No matter what’s going on, your life at that point of time, the only thing that matters is your family. To see what he had to go through, what he’s been through over the last few months, it’s been a lot.”

Although Bronny has yet to take the court with the Trojans, that has not stopped the young athlete from dominating the NIL Valuation Rankings.
According to On3, the eldest son of NBA legend, Lebron James, leads the top athletes with a NIL valuation of $6.1 million in deals. Bronny has signed extremely lucrative deals with both Nike and Beats by Dre.
Bronny is such a fan favorite that his first official USC Nike gear is sold out immediately. According to the official Nike website, the $30 recently released jersey is still sold out with no idea when the popular jersey will be back in stock.
To echo the USC head coach’s sentiment from an interview with ESPN, we too hope that he “will return to the court” so that he can help the Trojans lead their team to victory.
