Chanel Iman is taking New York City by storm! The model shared a candid of herself in celebration of New York Fashion Week (NYFW) that showed off her maternity style.
Chanel wore a black dress that hugged her baby bump. The boots the model sported gave the outfit a more edgy style. “Always a great time in the city for New York Fashion Week,” Chanel told her social media fans. “My baby is killing it,” Chanel’s fiancè, Davon Godchaux, shared in the comments section of her post. “Nice boots by the way,” Davon added.
Davon and Chanel announced their expectancy of a child earlier this year. The celebrity couple shared plans to marry weeks after informing fans of the family’s expansion. Chanel shared how this pregnancy has changed her beauty routine during a recent interview with Allure.
“Pregnancy for me, especially [the third] time around, [makes] my skin dry,” Chanel shared with the publication. “I’ve had sensitive skin throughout all of my pregnancies, and it’s been a challenge just to find comfort,” the celebrity mom revealed. “I’m on my third child, but I didn’t really take great care of my skin from my first pregnancy up until now, and it kind of caught up with me,” Chanel said.
Eczema is a medical condition that causes patches of skin to become rough and inflamed. One of Chanel’s daughters suffers from the condition, which leads the celebrity mom to search for solutions.
“It’s hard to see your child having to go through terrible flare-ups and not having the right resources and the right product to treat her,” the celebrity mom told Allure. “I have to be very careful [with] what I wear I don’t wear scented lotions or perfumes, especially around my daughters, just because as a parent, I try to prevent flare-ups.”
Chanel Iman has two daughters, Cassie and Cali, with her first husband, Sterling Shepard. She is expecting her first child with Davon Godchaux to arrive in the coming weeks. New York Fashion Week ends on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
