Erica Campbell is a proud mom! Over the weekend, the singer’s youngest daughter, Zaya, was first runner up in the Little Miss African American Pageant.
Taking to Instagram to share her elation, Erica expressed her immense pride in her daughter’s achievement.
In her Instagram post, she shared, “I’m so very proud of my baby she was the 1st runner up in the @littlemissafricanamerican pageant and Zaya was so happy she was in it, event though initially she didn’t want to do it! I knew she had a talent and the right heart to handle a pageant.”
Adding, “It was a crazy experience, but she learned a lot about herself. She handled it with so much grace I couldn’t be more proud!! my baby girl looked amazing. Congratulations honey your family celebrates you big time!! your future is so bright!!!”
Erica’s emotions ran high as she reminisced about how fast Zaya has grown.
She shared, “Baby girl, I literally had you on @wetv 11 years ago! You never cease to amaze me. you are growing so fast it’s hard to keep up, but I am enjoying every minute of it! God gave me the perfect children for the life and career and ministry that I have I can truly say the blessings of the Lord, make it rich and adds no sorrow. You are a blessing from the Lord and you make me feel rich you little amazing, wonderful, smart, feisty, gorgeous and sweet girl.!! congratulations you made your whole family proud tonight #LMAA2023 @littlemissafricanamerican”
The Little Miss African American Scholarship Pageant is dedicated to empowering young girls aged six through 12. The program fosters the development of Confidence, Awareness, and Pride (CAP), nurturing these young ladies to become future leaders.
Employing a pageant format, LMAA introduces participants to the arts and cultivates cultural understanding. Through courses in Public Speaking, Etiquette, Scientific Experiments, and the exploration of The Future of Technology, these girls receive a holistic education. They engage in Production Numbers under the guidance of Award-Winning Choreographers, all while embracing their individual creativity.
