Deja Riley Izydorczyk, daughter of super-producer Teddy Riley, is expecting her first child with husband Jimmy Izydorczyk!
Recently, the pair celebrated the impending birth of their unborn child with a baby shower organized by Deja’s sister, Bobbie Riley.
Deja expressed her gratitude to her sister on Instagram earlier this month, writing, “The ULTIMATE host + party planner goes out to my sister @bobbierileybeauty! THANK YOU for loving me. Baby Izy is already obsessed with you and this truly meant the world to me.”
Riley first shared the news of her expectancy in May through a touching video post that documented her pregnancy journey. In the clip, she openly discussed the challenges she has faced, including experiencing a miscarriage during her first pregnancy.
In a caption accompanying the video, she wrote, “I’ve often wondered how I would share this news and now the time has finally come. My dream of becoming a mother + carrying a baby has weighed on my heart for many years. However, trial after trial it slowly began to feel impossible. It felt like I would take one step forward and then two steps back. We’ve weathered this storm for quite some time but somehow we made it…”
Following her miscarriage, Deja underwent three unsuccessful Intrauterine inseminations (IUI) before embarking on an in-vitro fertilization (IVF) journey in 2022. Thankfully, the IVF process proved successful, and now she and her husband are expecting their baby in the fall.
She continued, “Our journey to parenthood has been transformative and eye-opening. No one ever expects they will have fertility issues. At least, it wasn’t a thought in my head. So you can imagine how this setback caused a lot of anxiety, fear, confusion, sadness and frustration. Without the support of my loving partner, I don’t know where we’d be.
She ended by saying, “Everyone’s journey is different + infertility doesn’t discriminate. Knowing this, we built a community and found resources to help us in our two year fight! It was painful and messy at times. Joyful and exciting. But by holding steadfast in our hope, we’ve finally arrived at OUR SWEET RAINBOW.”
