Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie are currently enjoying a family vacation with their kids and grandkids!
Magic took to Instagram to express his excitement, saying, “Cookie and I are excited to have our kids Andre, EJ, Elisa, our daughter-in-law Lisa and grandkids Gigi and Avery join us on the yacht!”
The retired point guard is dad to older son Andre, aged 42, whom he had with his ex-girlfriend Melissa Mitchell. He also shares two children, son EJ (31) and daughter Elisa (28), with his beloved wife, Earlitha “Cookie” Johnson.
Gigi and Avery Johnson are the children of Andre Johnson, the basketball legend’s eldest son, and his wife Lisa, whom he has been with since 2010.
This past Father’s Day, Andre celebrated the occasion by sharing a photo with Magic, expressing his gratitude and love for his father, saying, “Happy Father’s Day @magicjohnson. Thank you for everything you do and for showing me how to show up and take care of my family. I love you, and I hope you had a well-deserved rest today.”
Cookie also took to instagram to wish Magic a Happy Father’s Day.
She said, “Happy Father’s Day to an amazing dad @magicjohnson! Thank you for giving us unconditional and going over & above. We adore you and love you more than words can say.”
Throughout the years, Magic and Cookie have been vocal about their roles as parents. Magic once shared with Ellen DeGeneres how happy he was when their son EJ came out as gay, emphasizing the importance of unconditional love and acceptance. According to him, it’s about supporting your children regardless of their choices and “loving them no matter who they are, what they decide to do.”.
